Celebrate special occasions and holidays with an In Honour gift to Equitas.

Consider making a donation instead of, or in addition to, your regular gift giving.  A donation will make the occasion truly meaningful and your generosity of spirit will genuinely touch the person you are honouring.   Equitas will send a card on your behalf to acknowledge your gift.

You will also receive a tax receipt in the full amount of your gift – an added benefit!

The card (pictured above) shows school-children in Uganda learning about their rights. The photo was taken by Fredrick Ssemwaga, a participant in Equitas’ 2006 International Human Rights Training Program.

You can purchase a gift card by calling us or on-line using a credit card on the Canada Helps website. On the site, indicate who the card is for and the message that you would like on the card. We will send the card directly to the person you are honouring. For more information, please contact Ronit Yarosky at 514-954-0382 ext.41

Equitas has been making a real and tangible difference in advancing human rights in Canada and around the globe since 1967. Our programs aim to transform societies so that it is no longer tolerated to violate human rights or stand idly by as others perpetrate violations. The work we do in human rights education is essential to prevent violations and conflicts between individuals or communities. Human dignity, equality, tolerance, acceptance, understanding and mutual respect are universal values which will help us to find new paths to peace, social justice and sustainable development. We call this work "building a global culture of human rights". We hope you will join Equitas in this important journey.
