Volunteers are
a critical resource for Equitas. Their
involvement is an important indicator
of the support which exists in the
community for our mission. The time
and energy contributed by volunteers
are also critical to our ability to
deliver the results we seek.
At Equitas, we believe volunteering
must be mutually beneficial to both
the individuals contributing their
time and the organization. Equitas
volunteers have opportunities to:
- Make a meaningful contribution
to building a global culture of
human rights
- Develop their knowledge and understanding
of human rights issues and human
rights education techniques
- Establish contacts in the international
human rights community
- Gain valuable work experience
and learn or practice important
skills
- Have fun!
If you would like to get involved
in Equitas as a volunteer, you can
apply in the following manner:
- Review our current volunteer job
openings to determine if there is
a position which you would find
interesting; these positions are
updated regularly as new needs arise
- We ask that you have the necessary
skills for the position since we
do not have the resources to conduct
extensive training
- Contact Pego Brennan pbrennan@equitas.org,
indicating the position that interests
you; also send either a CV or some
information about your qualifications,
including educational background
and work experience
- On our part, we will review each
application and respond within one
week; since we receive many applications,
if we are not able to accommodate
you at this time, we will keep your
CV on file for future opportunities
Please note that all our volunteers
work in our Montreal office. We have
no international volunteer program.
We thank you in advance for your
interest in Equitas.
